Shipping & Pricing Updates

While I know that free shipping is something many people hope for with online purchases, I have decided I want to move away from this model for a few reasons.

First, as a small business, shipping actually costs me money and time. I always need to account for this, whether it is included in the price you pay or not.

Second, by switching to a pay-your-own-shipping model, it actually allows me wiggle room to lower my prices a bit. I want to make hand knitting and crochet accessible to more people, and being able to offer slightly lower prices is one way to do that. A few dollars less per skein may not seem like a big deal, but when you're buying multiple skeins or planning on a bigger project, it can make a difference!

Third, Stay Cozy has expanded beyond my local community, and has reached people from all over the country - including Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Guam! I have recently stopped offering local pick up and delivery options due to time and convenience for both myself and my customers. Shipping is simply easier for everyone the majority of the time. Switching my shipping model will allow everyone to pay more accurately to what it actually costs to get the product to you, whether you are near or afar.

Finally, I am so incredibly thankful for all of you! Whether you live down the street or across the country, your support and encouragement means so much to me. It brings me so much joy to share our love of creativity together.

stay creative, Jessica

P.S. If you are a wholesale client, this change will also impact you (with lower prices!). I am still working on setting the new prices, but if you have questions or hope to place an order soon, don't hesitate to contact me.
